Scenario 1: You are on a train coming home from a day at the beach. The train stops at a station and a group of youths get on the train and start bashing an elderly ethnic man. You notice people getting off the train.

Discuss what you would do in this situation.

i would go and call security to go and tell them that there is a group of youths bashing an ethnic man, or i would get people to help me stop them and if they have a weap[ong then i would go and tell the security guard to come and tell them to stop.

Scenario 2: You get a message from a girl that you are interested asking you to come over her house. When you get there a number of her friends are present and they say they are bored. One of them promotes the idea of going for a walk and causing a riot. At first you tell them “No way”. However, the girl you like states that “she will like you more if you go”.

Discuss what you would do in this situation.

i would tell her that even if she liked me more if i did a riot, i would tell her that we would get in heaps of trouble by the cops and we could be sent to jail and our parents would be heaps madd at us because of the big incedent that we had caused in one night.

1. define the term moral maturity?  moral maturity is a marked depth and consistency of moral judgment.

2.) Read the following article:

http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/knife-arrest-cop-pelted/2008/03/24/1206206967590.html

Discuss the reasons why the 25 year old man mentioned in the article would be regarded as having a lack of ‘moral maturity’. because he refused to be arrested by the police and had spat on one of there face and had tried to run away from them.

3.) Identify the differences between ‘morality’ and ‘immorality’.morality does not inextricably depend on a person’s thought, and it i possible for a person to be moral without ever thinking about issues of morality.

4.) Watch the following clip and describe the reasons why Governor Spitzer’s actions would be regarded as ‘immora

the video is talking about how the politics have been going on this site called emperors club. and the reporter is informing on the news about the sex scandals about how the politics have probably been going on the emperors club and do stuff to the girls at the site.

3.) Provide evidence of at least FIVE sources (Websites, newspapers, blogs, videos ect) that discuss the reasons why these countries have taken such a drastic approach.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/csm/20080318/wl_csm/osilence4.) Discuss how you would feel if the Australian government banned the Internet. What privileges would you lose? (2 Paragraphs).

2 ways that i would feel if australia banned the internet is sad and angry, the reasons why i would feel sad is because i won’t be able to go on msn and talk to ym frends when i am not at school. also i would feel sad because i won’t be able to go on bebo or myspace etc so i can send comments to my frends and ask them if they want to do anything on the weekend so then i would have to call them which is a waist of time while if the internet stayed i could ask them in no time because there would be no way i can call him if i had run out of credit or if i don’t noe there number.

the second thing that i woulf feel is fustrated because say i got homework and i needed to research a particular topic in history, it would take me heaps of time because then i would have to go to the library or go through my text book and find out what i need to do for the home, where as if they did not band the internet then i would be able to research and i would have more then one ste to choose from because the text book probably wouldn’t have enough information to write down in my book for that subject.

March 27, 2008

GEOFF OGILVY is confident he has the game to create history at Augusta next month, as long as he can dodge the “train wrecks” that derailed him last year.

A day after ending world No.1 Tiger Woods’s remarkable seven-tournament winning streak, the 30-year-old Victorian turned his attention to becoming the first Australian to pull on the Masters green jacket.

Ogilvy revealed he left Augusta a year ago with very positive vibes, despite falling out of contention to finish tied 24th.

“I had a couple of train wrecks and I still wasn’t that far away, so I walked away thinking Augusta was a place I could do really well if I returned with the right game,” he said in a teleconference from the US.

No one doubts Ogilvy has his game on song less than three weeks out from the Masters after he overcame the world’s best players to win the World Golf Championships event in Florida on Monday.

He showed the sort of mental toughness needed to add the Masters to his 2006 US Open major title after a gruelling ordeal as leader in the weather-hit event when he had to return on Monday but ground out the remaining nine holes in straight pars for a one-shot victory.

He went 60 holes around Doral’s daunting Blue Monster course before making a bogey.

“That’s a first,” he said. “I don’t think I’ve ever gone remotely that far without a bogey, I don’t really have an explanation for it.”

After several cracks at Augusta, Ogilvy believes he has what it takes to win, despite the double water disaster which gave him a third-round 81 last year.

“I think I led the field in birdies. There was a lot of good stuff and a little bit of bad stuff,” he said.

“I tripled the second hole on the Thursday, and on the Saturday I was two shots behind the lead with 22 holes to go in a perfect position.

“I hit two balls in the water at the 15th and made nine. We’ve all watched it on TV, everybody’s done it, it’s an easy thing to do.

“They’re the things that kill you.”

It also helps to to keep the ball on the right side of the green and under the hole.

“Above the hole is a horrible place to be,” he said. “You can be five metres on the wrong side of the hole at Augusta, and you’re working out how to get your chip shot on the green.

“You can be 50 yards on the correct side and have quite and easy up and down.

“It’s about keeping your ball underneath the hole, staying out of trouble, away from big numbers and taking your chances when you get them.”

A world golf championship will shoot any player up the rankings but Ogilvy isn’t convinced his move back into the world’s top 10 means he’s in the top echelon yet.

“We know Tiger is head and shoulders above everybody else, and [Phil] Mickelson has solidified himself at number two.

“Then there’s Adam [Scott], Jim Furyk, Ernie Els and Steve Stricker, who’s been playing great, and Retief Goosen, who’s started playing well again, and [Sergio] Garcia and [Padraig] Harrington and those guys.

“I sit somewhere around those guys. I don’t think I’m quite as consistent as those guys but I think when I’m playing well I’m a match for most of them.”

Posted in cst.ist on March 17, 2008 by thaouchab

a way that i can motivate my group is by giving them small stuff and let them have a week to do it and then i can come and help them with it, so they can get help just in case they get stuck in an area where they do not understand anything about it and then i can help them with it or a teacher as well.
